So....here's an idea

There's a guy on the XCR forums who developed an adapter for the ACR stock, his handle on there was EZED. A thread can be found here:

http://www.xcrforum.com/forum/16-stock/10138-acr-stock-adapter-xcr.html

I've tried as hard as I can to find the drawings but no one seems to know where he and his specs went. I currently have no CAD or CNC capability and I'm wondering if anyone out here is up to the task. We could crowd source the s^&t out of this and maybe make this happen. CGN has a number of smaller manufacturers who I'm sure could take this on. The ACR stock is one of the best factory stocks I've ever seen on a fighting rifle and coincidentally fits the XCR quite well.

.....Discuss!

Wow... it sure does ###ify the XCR some.

I've got one sitting in a bag if someone wishes to borrow to scan/measure, and start the 'reverse engineering' process......
I'm sure that Stan, it's creator, would be happy with a modest 'royalty' per unit sold.....

Damn... The XCR really needs this stock as the original folder is very flawed... It does not lock when open (hold your rifle by the butt and risk breaking your fingers when the stocks closes on your hand!), the stock wiggles when open, the cheekpiece has limited adjustment capability and has a stupid angle in it... The length adjustment is also not very smooth and limited... I can live with most of these defects but not the unlocked stock...

Just so you are aware, the ACR stock does not lock in the folded position as well. It's held in place by spring tension.

Ok everyone, we have one dude willing to loan his for scanning (foxbat please PM me) I have a manufacturer that could pump these out.

Now......We need to see if this will be worth it or not. So please put up a comment in this post with a "+1" or whatever number you would be interested in, this is just to guage interest. Again, we don't know how much this will cost.

Mods, I'm unsure of the rules for something like this. This will be totally not for profit and is a personal project. I don't intend on making any cash and will be happy to make all drawings/specs open source.
