F Class in Kingston, ON

The ORA event schedule has not been finalized yet. I have not heard of any "training days" for F class, however if you come to Borden I am sure some guys will be glad to give you a lesson or two.:)

Keep an eye on the web page for updates on ORA events.

I joined the ORA in Kingston last year... all the practice sessions had to be cancelled due to poor turn out...

All we needed was 5 guys!

In any event... I will likely join again this year, I would imagine the Kingston ORA organizer will too... If you are a member and in the Kingston area... we might be able to get the 5 warm bodies we need! I shoot at FRPC, and there is a 300m range there... it's a start at least.

Borden is an awefully long drive.

I wish I lived closer.Although only to 600 I think the Kingston range is
exceptionally NICE to shoot on and have a hard time believing that practices
are canceled to lack of participation!!!! Beautiful range!!

Was a member @ Kingston for several years, always a problem getting enough bodies. With the # of cancellations it was not worth the $$$.

I hear you...

I'm going to give the ORA one more year of membership money, then decide if it's worth the investment.

Kingston is not that far from Ottawa. Why not sign up for some matches at Connaught? Once you're a member of the ORA, you can also take out a full DCRA membership to shoot there. I also wonder if you join the NCRRA.

Ebruder,
I know Dave tries to plan them and it 's gotta hurt when the sessions have to be canceled for lack of participation.I've been able to get there for some matches but can only go when I can overnight it.
OK... start a recruitment drive on here for Kingston area residents.!!!!!!
Surely there's got to be 5 shooters out there close enough to regularly participate so opportunity doesn't get canceled.
People, this really is a beautiful range and if I lived closer I would try and make
every date.

Kingston area or say within 2 hours drive???Want to try out a great range???
Eb,any firearms stores local you can recruit shooters from??Open House??

The ORA hasn't published it's schedule for 2008 yet... keep an eye on the ORA web site...

How many guys on CGN are from Kingston anyways? I'll post something once the schedule is up...

And no... there are no gun shops in Kingston (Sad isn't it)... we have to drive an hour to Belleville (2) or Brockville (1) to get anything more than Canadian Tire or Walmart ammo...

In any event... I'll try get the schedule reminders in here to try get more guys out.

Maybe some recruitment should be done for people right on the base. But than again the ORA gets next to no one from Borden either.

I know of someone on base in Kingston. However her travel schedule is gonna be brutal. Not sure if she can help or not. Just transfered in.

We do have these great posters. If any ORA member would like a poster to put up in a local gun shop, contact the ORA Promotions guy on the ORA website. Here's the catch....If they display our poster, the ORA will put a link on our website to their website if they have one. If they don't have a website they can still get their name on the comercial link page.

There are also some smaller 8 1/2 x 11 posters that can be posted on bulletin boards at your local gun club.
