F class nationals

Yes, you can definitely come and watch.

If you can, please PM me (or someone else) offline ahead of time; we can arrange to meet you, and show you around in lots of detail. And possibly even fire a few shots, too, if you would be up for that...

Nibble on the rod..........and Daniel sets the hook... :D

That's what I am affraid of LOL

Damn you CyaN1de, you spoiled a perfectly laid plan/trap.....! ;-)

@Static030, jump right in, I'm sure you'll love it. Scott (FTRRookie) is a local and should be able to show you around most any Wed/Sun. I am happy to show you around when I am in Ottawa during our national matches (15-24 August) You'll be amazed how "close", in some senses, 300m is and how easy it is to hit things at that distance. And when you have a chance to see some 900m shooting being done, especially during the afternoon when the wind is blowing, you will probably enjoy that. If you have a 10mph or 15mph crosswind happening, it's kinda neat to fire a bullet, with the barrel aimed about 8 feet upwind of the target centre and about 30 feet above it, have the bullet in flight for 1.6 seconds before it reaches the target, rising to about 15 feet above your line of sight as it gets there, and have it arrive at the target inside the 24" diameter 5-ring. Now *THAT* can *really* set the hook....!!

Send me a PM. We typically shoot at 900m on Sunday mornings and at 300m on Wednesday evening, and would be happy to have you come out and see what it's all about.

Scott
I would also love to see what F class is all about. I've got a brand new gun, not even sighted in yet, that needs some range time.

We'd love to have you out! Takes about 2 mins to get sighted in at 300 and we're off and running. If you'd like to come out to Connaught to see what F-Class is like please send me a PM and we can arrange a time to have you come out.

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***

The DCRA office has agreed to extend the registration deadline until end of day on Friday, August 2nd. If you'd like to attend please give Kathy in the DCRA office a call or send me a PM and I will relay the message. If you're debating attending what I can tell you is that this would be a great year to get some exposure to what a National level competition is like. While our numbers are down this year we are fortunate to have some very talented and experienced shooters that are attending who are very willing to help new shooters to either the range or to the sport. I can tell you from experience it is a great match, and you will absolutely not regret attending.

Been to Connaught twice now and had a great time both times. Regrets not being there for this year due to the conflict with the US National FCN and the World's FCWC. Looking forward to being back next year, as this is a excellent match - great to be with the good friends made along the way from attending these and other matches.

Congratulations to Fred Harvey and Leo D'Amour on their Grand Aggregate Wins!

We had a great few days of shooting, with lots of new faces! I hope to see you all back again next year.

The sun even shines on an old dog's a$$ once in a while.

I certainly plan to shoot Ottawa next year. Maybe we can grab Gord O and head back to the Crazy Horse for another steak.
