You have the best of both worlds Steve, because you have a ready-made TR rifle is you ever feel you want to try competing off your elbows, and yes, my friend, You're one of us now!

I shot the last shoot of the year a couple of weekends ago with the above 6 BR. After just losing the press I had been using I used a cheap turret press instead and had some rounds that chambered nicely and some i had to force to close, this caused a pressure issue and my score was effected.
Alot of the matches are won in the basement at the press not just on the range, learn to reload well and consistantly and if you have a rifle that shoots well consistantly you can win.
One of the guys that beat me (and he did it by a fair bit) did so with a FACTORY RIFLE, Savage F-Class in 6.5 -284.
