hi guys, i'm looking for shooting ranges in BC and Washington state (North). I know about Chilliwack, BC and Rattlesnake, WA, do you have anything else to suggest ? I'm mainly looking for at least 600 yards type of range.

i'm presently considering a job offer in Bellingham,WA.... so i need a decent range close by to accept the job ;)

thanks for your help

Jon;

Douglas Ridge in Boring Oregon (grassed range to 1000 yds in north part of Oregon State)
COSSA Range near Bend Oregon (central Oregon State)

I believe there is another one in Washington.....I will try to find out where.

So, are you going to shoot for the US FTR team now that you're moving?

BTW, this job sounds like a good opportunity for you.

i may become a "free agent" looking for a "contract" lol

the discussion seems serious at this point, if my numbers are there, i'll move....

THANKS for the help guys :)

Heard a bit about an executive fist fight going on at Doug Ridge. Calender shows nothing for F Class in 2014. No Burden Memorial, no PNW, no nothing.
Cheers

WG300, good luck on your new opportunity.

Montana, Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, California... etc. All easy access from Bellingham on Alaskan Airlines. When you get on their frequent flyer program, the flights are stupidly cheap.

For what they are worth up here vs what you can replace them with in your new home, I wouldn't bother exporting.

But if you really want to deal with the hazmat, then you should contact US customs and the immigration people that will be setting up your Green Card.

As a foreign national going to the US to work, I am sure you see the pile of paperwork that is required. Part of that will be moving your belongings and in that will be ways to move "controlled" items like firearms and flammables. You should contact CFC and declare the export of your toys.

I am sure it is not hard on the paperwork side but the COST of actually moving the goods could be steep.

If driving a Uhaul, I bet they will need to know how many lbs of powder and after a certain amount, either they will not let you or you will need all manner of charges for hazmat freight forwarding.

NO expert for sure but no company wants to be open to liability with dangerous goods. Just ask and I am sure you will find plenty of answers.

i have 3000 bullets trimmed and pointed, 1200 brass neck turned at 0.0125....and for sure, dont want to do those task again :))

thanks, i will contact US customs and start from there. I plan to move all my reloading equipment with me in my car and having the rest, shipped...if the contract is long enough for that.
