So I just got my first Glock 10mm subcompact. Didn't want G20 because the grip of the full size models never fit me. but I really like my G29sf.

Well today I had a chance to play with a G17 gen 4 and I have to say I like it!! the grip feelt a lot better than 3.5gen G17. So now I'm thinking of getting one. I used to hate these things and never planned on getting one yet 2:runaway:!

They tend to grow on you.

You need to be healed!! You will never see a Glock in my signature.

As much as I love my HK's and 1911's. There's something about a Glock that is appealing: reliable with almost any ammo (9mm 1911 and the strong recoil springs in HK can make them finicky with soft rounds), lots of parts available, easier to detail strip vs. HK (1911 is easier than the Glock for me to detail strip).

Also on the Glock 19 restricted, you get much less 'Pinocchio barrel' effect.

Only thing about the Glock I don't like is the grip angle, trigger pull can be tuned with aftermarket parts. The large grip (for my hands) makes consistent trigger control difficult for me. I'd love to have a Glock 19 with grip reduction by Bowie Tactical Concepts, I've tried finding some shops in the US that can supply the gun, get it customized then import here but many don't accept Canadian Credit card orders...

I just got my first one today, a model 34. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, hope that happens on Friday. Hope I do not like it as much as my CZ's as I really can't afford 3 more Glocks.

They're good guns, you shouldn't find it to be too much of a surprise.

I've never been a fan of USPs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was my next purchase after actually getting my hands on one.

I agree with the OP, the Gen 4 grip is far and away better than the Gen3. It comes with a much better texture, mag release button and even internals on the slide (recoil springs and guide) than the 3.
I would trade my model 22 for one right away. If you haven't fondled one yet, try it because it's so much better.

The Gen3 grip works just fine as does the aftermarket SS guide rod and ISMI recoil spring I installed but didn't have too. No to Gen 4 here.

Hi
I have an CZ SPO1 Shadow, 75B Two tone in 9 MM, 75B in 40 S&W, 97B in 45 ACP, and a S&W Pro in 9mm. I like all the other pistols I have very much. The shadow is my favorite so far. I hope I like the new Glock 34 as much as the rest of them. As to where I bought it, I got it from Del Selins in Vernon BC. I think he has one more and I think the price is $739.00 but I am not sure of this. As to what I paid for it, I can not say as I have an in at the shop and that would not be fiar to say. Lets just say they treat me very fairly ever time I buy something from them.

Do you guys get the same feeling when you shoot a Sig for the first time?

I just can't handle how ugly they are, and plastic - yuck. But regardless there are countless people who swear by them and more and more I see people "trying one" to having 1+ on order the week after.

Glock (.40) was actually the first non .22 gun gun I've ever shot! I still never cared for them for years. Like I said they their full size gun just didn't fit my hand. And the .45/10mm frame felt like holding a brick. SF models fit me better, but it wasn't until I fondled a 30FS model in the States that I actually wanted one and I was surprised because that I liked it! With a compact you don't have to worry about the grip angle and SF models aren't that big... Gen4 is definitely an improvement, I didn't think it would be, but it is. I want one.
