it,s a double rifle that shooting edge will be getting in FEb .
decided to get one whe they do - what cartridge would you get as comes in 3 but can not decide between the two: 9,3 X 74 R or 8 X 57 JRS
brass availability will be a deciding factor - not to familiar with either one

Obviously it depends what you intend to use the rifle for.

Typically a double rifle is used at shorter ranges and most often in the pursuit of large and or dangerous game. I personally would opt for the 9.3 as it would make a great bear / moose rifle.

What is the price on these???

can anyone tell me what would be the equalaent to these cartridges in the more commone 375h h 30-06 ?? thanks

The 9.3x74R is roughly equivalent to the 375 H&H and the 8x57JRS is a rimmed version of the 8x57 Mauser so it is roughly equal to the 30-06 or the 308Win. You had the right answers in your own post.
