Hey guys, I watched some vids of this shotgun. TV press pass I believe had light strikes in colder weather. Have any others had trouble in the cold with it?

Nope. I was shooting with my new STF/12 a few weeks ago on the farm and there were no problems. It was just above freezing though.

Use dry lube in cold weather, not traditional dripping oil. I like Remington dry lube. It's Teflon based.

I would think so, but I thought I would ask. The best wet lube in the winter that I have is G96 synthetic, the bad smelling one. It is really good on my padlock, the dials spin like crazy.

Ola! That's me!

I took that gun back to the smith at The Shooting Edge many years ago, and he decided the hammer was out of spec and rubbing against the sides of the trigger pack. Swapped out the trigger pack on the spot, and I've never had a problem since then.

He was also good enough to replace my top rail, which for some reason was a full 1/3" higher than it ought to have been, which explained why my irons were such a mess!

I actually sold that gun this winter, but you can still see it in my sigline

Never had a problem with either Fabarm shotgun...

but if you shoot garbage Winchester Universal shells - be assured it's not your gun. Just garbage ammo with known extraction issues.
