Fabarm Martial Pistola 11" Shotgun NOW IN STOCK at TSE!!

Man I loved the Pro Forces for years (owned/sold two), but never liked the pistol grip stock.

Now, shorter, full stock and cheaper? Last thing I need is another shotgun... but I'm mighty tempted!

What is the weight on the 11"?

I am looking for a non restricted gun for my wife. This might be a great little gun for her with the stock cut down a little to fit her.

Price is GREAT too!

size might be good but that thing will kick like a mule and scream like a banshee!

I'm not sure the exact weight, but with a short barrel and aluminum receiver, it is noticeably lighter then my old 8" Norinco 870 clone.

That said, yes it also had more felt recoil than my old 8" Norinco. Noticeably more!

A folder would be a no no.

No, a folder would just make it a restricted. I thought OP was talking about the pistol grip only versions and those would be restricted anyway.

It actually has a rifle stock on it. No pistol grip included so it steers clear of any legal entanglements. So it is simply a non-restricted shotgun.

In that case, it is a different animal than I was thinking of.

OAL is 31" on the nose. LOP is 13" measured from the junction where the stock meets the receiver, just behind the trigger guard.

LOP should be measured from the center of the trigger to the center of the butt pad. It looks like it would be ~1/2" longer measured that way, maybe a bit more.

If you're looking at the Pistola model in the Fabarm website, The ones that TSE has brought in are identical except for the rifle stock.

Well, I guess you learn something new every day. I've always wondered about that. Thanks Mark!

You sure about that?

Absolutely positive. From the Criminal Code:

“restricted firearm” means

  • (a) a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm,
  • (b) a firearm that
    • (i) is not a prohibited firearm,
    • (ii) has a barrel less than 470 mm in length, and
    • (iii) is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner,
  • (c) a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise, or
  • (d) a firearm of any other kind that is prescribed to be a restricted firearm;

Sorry, I wasn't clear.
Are you sure the 11" would be restricted with a pistol grip? I thought that at first but I'm unsure now. As I read the law it doesn't matter that it's under 26" or what ever number. The reason why I think this is there are other non-restricted guns that come from the factory under 26"... It's mind boggling like all our silly laws but I think it would be non-restricted.

It MAY be non-restricted if it is manufactured that way. Putting a pistol grip on it now would make it restricted, but if it came from the factory with one it MAY be different. The mare's leg, which is sold as a pistol in the US is under 26" (24" i think) and is non-restricted. That being said the RCMP have also said that any shotgun with a pistol grip and i believe it was a barrel under 16" they consider to be a pistol and would be restricted (i know u need two hands to cycle it). The law isn't super clear on the issue, so really it is whatever the firearm lab decides until someone gets a ruling in court clarifying the issue or parliament clarifies it.

That pretty uch sums it up. No one is quite sure why the RCMP firearms lab considers short barrel pistol-grip pump shotguns to be handguns, but it is clear that they do. Tose who have been around this forum long enough will remember the Dlask 870 fiasco of several years back, where the RCMP gave it to Dlask hard and dry...

So until a court chalenge can reverse that decision, importers and distributors are playing it safe and only selling a version that they know is NR.

This. Unfortunately. We need a multi-millionaire Gunnut to take some of these rulings to court. Until then, we all take it dry.

Dang it, they have them in 11"???

Of course I find this out right after I bought my 14"

Ah well, can't complain TOO much, these are pretty neat little guns.

On a side note, when I pulled the safety off my Benelli in favor of an "enhanced" one, I wasn't sure what to do with the original one. (triangular "off safe" as opposed to the "round" one on the factory Fabarm button)

Turns out, it fits and functions in the Fabarm!.

It's a cross bolt and the Benelli safety fits perfectly and has a nice positive click. There is no way you could bump this off by accident.

Boom!

Threw on the muzzle brake for fun since I had one laying around:

FYI, I measured folding stock with muzzle brake and it is still a few inches under 26".

a nice firearm. it seems to have all the bases covered as to chokes, sights ,etc. Italian made guns are a quality product and they have a flair and pizazz that others sometimes lack.do these guns have a chrome bore?
