I am looking to get a quality tactical Shotgun.
My three pics are the

Fabarm Martial Pro Forces 14"
Rem 870 Tactical
Valtro PM5

The all are about the same price but the Fabarm comes with a nice case.
But the Valtro and 870 I can drive to Epps and get, the Fabarm mail order.

Which would you recomend for range day's plinking in the woods, pissing off Libs and of course Zombies.

Any help is ace's

The 870 has more accessories, if you intend to dress it up and hang flashlights and lasers off it. Parts will be easier to find too. My Fabarm is a lot smoother than my Chinese 870 Grizzly, but a real Remington might be just as nice. Never used a Valtro.

I chose the Fabarm PF 14" as my Tac12. Features it has that put it above any others available are:

Awesome GR sights.
14" barrel.
Wide variety of chokes/muzzle break.

There are other details, but they are subjective, like the smoooooth action, light weight and beautiful appearance.

I will Never sell my Fab. In fact I'm thinking of picking up another with regular stock and bead sight.

I also considered the Valtro with Hi-Viz sights.
What kinda turned me off was the cost of additional mags($80/each?). I ended up with a 14"bbl Fabarm (regular stock/bead sight)which I'm very happy with.

how Are the Rem 870 Tac olive drab with the knoxx stock. Are they worth the $869. The only thing holding me back on the Fabarm is the 4+1 capacity compared to the 7+1 Valtro and Rem

Oh and does anyone know where to go to buy firearms Other than Epps. This is all new to me (firearms) so I have know clue where shops are. I am located near Peterborough.

Thanks again

If I'm not mistaken that 870 Tactical you are referring to (18 inch barrel model, OD that you can buy in Baron's) is not an 870 P. 870P is the true tactical model. So in my opinion not worth the money. Check out Wolverine, very good prices last I checked. Also the thing that would steer me towards the 870 P is that the receiver is steel, unlike the Fabarm which is aluminum if I'm not mistaken. Others here are very happy with the Fabarm and I have even considered the 14" at one point (yes very nice case it comes with) but for accessories the 870 is a + in another category that is very hard to beat. Have you also considered the Mossberg 590A1?

I don't think you'll find a 7+1 14" gun anywhere. If you want more capacity, you should be looking at the Fabarm SDASS.

Can any of you fine folks find me A pic of This Shotgun, REMINGTON 870 TAC-2 FOLDING STOCK SLIDE 12GA X 3" 18" BEAD SIGHTED BBL, BLASTED BLACK OXIDE FINISH, KNOXX SPEC OPS FOLDING STOCK WITH R3 RECOIL PAD, 2 MAG EXT, SLING SWIVELS $638.75 (Taken from Epps"s site).
Thanks

Dont do it, at the end of it, it is still an 870. Go for the Fabarm for sure! I have had a grizzly, remington 870, sold both, but i will NEVER sell the Fabarm! It is way nicer, smooth action, GR sights are sweet, i have only fired around 15 slugs through mine so far, and it is super accurate, ive only shot it out to around 35 meters though, but dead on!
Down side, is it kicks like a rented mule., i am thinking i may need a muzzle break also.

I vote for FABARM, you don't need any more acc. then what they supply. I have my GR sights set for 100 meters and I can get a 3" - 4" group. I got mine for Zombie deer in the shotgun zones and of course Zombie grouse with the Mod. choke tube attached. I have put about 100 slugs through mine plus shot for birds and the 3" slugs do hurt after a few but a slip on decellerator helps. I can't tell if the break helps or not as I have tried it both ways, but if I have to go through a locked door in a hurry the break comes in handy.

I've had a Fabarm Martial 14 and it was totally baddass. I sold it for some reason I'm not sure why. I did however keep my 870P, it was by far a more durable and versatile shotgun.

It you are looking into the tac model, why not just get the express 18" extended version from Lebarons for cheap. as far as I can tell they are pretty much the same.

Have had a Fabarm SDASS and now a 870P, to dress up the 870P to the point of having what the Fabarm has you would be out a grand at least. (ie very nice ghost ring and rail combo+ extension & clamp etc.)

870 "Tactical" is a joke, just a prettier Express. If you do go 870, go 870 Police mag or the Fabarm.

But do remember fabarm has aluminum receiver/action and 870 police mag is solid steel. Fabarm is lighter, more maneuverable, but I simply like the sturdy, heavy feeling of the 870 better.

Action-wise, Fabarm is on par with 870 Police as far as smoothness go.

I also vote for the Fabarm Martial PF. I recently got one off the EE, I was a little apprehensive because of the price, but soon realized it was totally worth it! The quality is excellent, it's a blast to shoot (no pun intended!):) and it looks totally badass! If you were to decide on the Fabarm, I doubt you'd be disappointed.

I went with the Valtro PM5 a true milspec firearm and I love it. 14" barrel and 8 rounds, mags are $$$ but not hard to find like some say, I located 6 in less than 10 minutes. They dont call them the "trusty Pm's" for nothing their rock solid and the action is very very smooth you have to handle one to realy know how smooth they are.
I like the fabarm alot it felt good but when I handled the Valtro thats was it.
