Hey there. I recently bought a new Fabarm Sat 8 semi auto shotgun. Took it out and put about 200 rounds of federal clay target rounds through it.(and No not the Winchester brand either.) Intially it Cycled awsome, no problems nothing....then like a switch was flicked on, it started to not cycle fully and the rounds weren't ejecting. However it did cycle a box of 5, 3'' slugs fine.

My question to you is why was it working awsome, no issues nothing, and yes I know semi-auto shotguns can be picky with light target loads and such, and then, BAM... it stops completing a full cycle and ejecting the rounds.

I have taken the gun apart and cleaned and inspected it, seems to be ok, however i'm no gunsmith, I guess I'll find out next time I go out if it was just dirty inside, however it was brand new when I first shot it, a couple hundred rounds shouldn't prevent it from cycling smoothly Right?

I have not put many rounds through my SAT8. Which i bought off the EE.
Everything I have read about the SAT8 , says it hates light loads( which of course you already know) So I have never used any.
The gun smith at " the shooters edge " in Calgary might be a good guy to ask.
I think his name is Stephen ,

OP can you confirm the last batch of shells you put through were 3-dram, 1-1/8oz. loads

I blasted through several boxes of Federal 7-1/2 trap loads just for fun and didn't have a hiccup.

My only complaint was that I think the front sight blade was changing elevation under recoil (the set-screw which raises/lowers the blade). Even at the most extreme setting, it's almost going to the max.range of the elevation setting on the rear sight (shooting at 100m) which sucks a little. Otherwise I can't complain about a thing.

Clean running. I thought the chamber would be much dirtier than it was.

i think it just got dirty, i found shooting the federal trap loads if i didnt shoulder the shotgun firmly i got hiccups, but since yours was running flawlessly im thinking it got dirty? try cleaning it and shooting it again with the same rounds, my 2 cents

thanks for the replys. Ya just got back from shooting it, after cleaning it. Ran Flawlessly. not a single problem.

One other question though to anyone who has one with higher round count through theres. Do you guys notice any ejection port wear, esepcially along the bottom of the port and up front where the shotgun shells might be rubbing when ejecting. I'v noticed quite a bit of wear on mine for being such a new gun. I know it's aluminum and all, just thought it would be a little stronger.
