I wouldn't throw away a SAT-8 if someone gave me one, but both in terms of shooting characteristics and parts availability, I'd rather have a Benelli or Beretta.
The Benellis and Beretta shot smoother handled better IMO, not a lot mind you, but together with the weak market support there's no real reason to go Fabarm.
Hopefully with the recent addition of Korth distributing Fabarm in Canada, parts and service will be better. That said, I’ve yet to need to repair or replace anything on my Fabarm. It’s a quality made gun, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a Sat-8 if I was looking for a Fabarm semi auto.
Thanks guys, more motivation to stick to my initial plan of going either a new Beretta 1301 Tactical or used Benelli M4.
Now to come up with a way to choose between the two...
Fabarm SAT 8 is an excellent shotgun. ZERO complaints. IMHO, the M4 is too fat/bulky and too heavy, yet an otherwise excellent shotgun. Because of these limitations I'm partial to the M2. But still doing in hand trials and internet research before committing to my next semi shotty.
