Good day,
I'm in the market to buy another toy. May be beer budget with champagne taste lol
I saw Randy Wakeman's Fabarm L4S sporting review and fall in love with it. However, I didn't see any dealer has in stock. I don't know anyone own one as well.

To all the almighty clay shooters, what are your thoughts? Should I order one, wait for a used one to be available? Or just forget abt it, save more coins to buy a Blazer F16.
I already have a Beretta A400 parallel target for skeet & CG for trap.
Thank you in Advance

Yes, you are right. They are very different. I never shoot neither one of them. I can't tell which one I like more.
@falconflyer :Why don't you like semi?

Im not sure about the above poster but i wont take my semis on a sporting case unless i knew everyone on the squad and they were using guns they dont mind scratching. Semis like my a400s are real spitters and id hate to dent or mark up someones gun. Plus its a chore chasing empties. Those are the main reasons. Others are my double guns are shorter for the same length barrels and faster to come up

In sporting clays you stand inside a box to shoot and some of the hulls from a semi tend to bounce off the side of the box and go everywhere, of course I feel compelled to go pick them all up afterwards. I long ago learned to catch my spent hulls from my o/u guns when I open the action and deposit them in the spent hull bin thus no need to hunt for hulls on the ground. There is also less chance of a gun malfunction with an over and under and I know that most modern semi's are pretty reliable but still I see lots of guys having trouble with them on the course. Wondering if your gun is going to go off after a couple of malfunctions will pretty much ruin the round for a lot of people. By the way, the guys who's semi's are malfunctioning are often riding golf carts around the course and their guns are subject to a lot of dust. And as Brybenn pointed out, I don't like my hulls bouncing off of other people's guns.... and I tend to shoot with guys from time to time who own guns that are very very expensive!
I also prefer the balance and feel of an over and under..... and then there is is the clunkety clunk of the semi's action with I find annoying!
Watch what the pro's do, a bunch of them were shooting semi's back when the Beretta 391's were new and few of those guys are still shooting semi's these days.

Yes I shot my SX3 this past summer on a 5-stand set up(Edmonton Gun Club) and a few times ejected hulls bounced off the stand frame and then off me. Pretty distracting when you're going after a pair and the first hull hits you in the head, lol. Picking up hulls after the round is no big deal on 5-stand but it would be a pita on a sporting clays course. You're going to hold yours and other squads up. I use my SX3 for skeet though and just clean up at the end of the round or end of the evening, whichever keeps me out of others way and of course being a 20ga and a semi I really like how soft the gun is on the shoulder and lighter to carry. I've only shot sporting clays using my over-unders.
