What is the general consensus on the Fabarm tactical shotguns? I do not see a lot of chatter about them. They seem to get good reviews so I am just curious as to why someone would go for ssay the Mossberg 590/930 versus the fabarm Martial Pro (http://www.wanstalls.com/Tactical-Shotguns/files/page17-1003-full.html) etc.

Is it a price point or performance issue?

i am loving mine, shot about 120 slugs out of it, accurate, smooth and light. had some problems getting the last shell to clear the ejection port at first, but I think I was not racking it enough. The auto assist is nice but requires you to change your top up drill.

NOthing wrong with a mossberg. Used to carry one on shift every day. function flawlessly. Owned a few as well. Have a Fabarm now, its a very nice gun. I would have to say its of better quality than a mossy, but it comes down to mag capacity and what you really intend to use it for.
My one shotgun holds 7, and the Fabarm only hold 4.. so its definately going to be a downfall if I was to use the Fabarm in competition. Choose the model based on intended use.
just my 2 cents

Had a Martial Proforces, great gun loved it. Awesome quality, except for the forearm rubbing on the receiver leaving marks. Wanted to try something different with more capacity so I sold it and bought a Mossberg 590A1 20". Tank of a gun it was fun but all loaded up it too heavy. And I don't like the Mossberg factory Ghost ring sights. Sold that one and now I have a Benelli M2 Tactical and it is by far my favourite shotgun to date.

If you decide on the Fabarm you will be happy, the Italians make great shotguns.

I did have a minor issue with the finish of the bolt peeling off on my Martial after the first time out. But the shooting edge replaced the whole bolt no questions asked, had it in the mail to me the same day I called. Not a single problem with the new bolt after that.

Cheers

I have a 590, fine gun but I found the forend to far forward, the long forend is great if your arms aren't that long. Plus carrying it in the bush with a full tube gets heavy.

i have the sdass. i love it. nice finish and very smooth
onyl downfall is in aftermarket. it is not an 870 and you have limited possibilities

Nothing wrong with the Sat8, except the lack of aftermarket support common to all Fabarms. There's just not tons of accessories out there for them.

Well, you can pick up rails from TSE and some other stuff, I had to buy a couple of extensions to adjust the length of pull, they sell those too. As far as modding those things goes there definitely isnt the same selection as youd have for an 870 BUT badboybeeson should be checking in here soon to tell you that S&J hardware makes a sling adapter for those that adapts it to accept 870 stocks. Check it out.
