I was told the only time you take OFF your mask is at halloween.....
Too easy... Seriously I don't like face camo... too shiney... works good for hiding from people but wildlife can spot you just the same :|

A face net is kinda handy when your sitting in a stand and it also keeps the bugs off. Face paint looks kind of retarded in a hunting camp, kind of when you wake up in the morning with a wicked hang-over and the word loser felt penned onto your forehead.
I take it this is for archery? I think i'd go with a mask of some sort. Good lord, I show up in camp with some pretty daft things from time to time and get ribbed for it, but i'd hate to think what they'd do to me if i showed up in facepaint. :lol:

I wear a face mask when calling in Elk in thick bush. I feel that it is important you cover your face and hide your eyes when an elk has come in to the call and is serching the bush for the other elk. If they see your face and eyes looking at them they bolt.
Other than that I ####ing hate camo. It is absoluty retarded. Nothing like a truck load of road hunters dressed in camo. :lol: I make a point NOT to use any just to piss off everyone I hunt with. I truly belive that if you want to disappear you need to get down and stay out of sight. My furthest shot at game last year was 30yards and the closest 20 no camo needed.
There is a time and place for face paint and full camo but I think that it is realy not needed %90 of the time.

I tend to agree, I have lots but rarely wear it, Here in the UK it is coming into fashion as the old military DPM gets the police helicopter out. To be honest when I am stalking I either wear a dark green Loden or light od which seems to work. If I am pigeon decoying, a rare event nowadays then I wear a jacket to suit whatever the background is ans a brimmed bucket hat to hide my fce from them. I rarely grow a beard as it is really quite mild here in winter and in the S East where I live drops below freezingonly at night or one or two days each winter. If you're caught wearing face paint down here in Newfoundland, the locals (me included) will think you're cracked! Most of us hunt in jeans/track pants, wool jacket and/or pair of mechanics coveralls. Camo clothing is starting to become more common, as Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart, are carrying it, but face paint? Moose, Caribou, Deer, etc....don't see colors like humans do, so blaze orange would work just as well as woodland camo! The key is washing your clothes in phosphate free, non-brightening laundry detergents. If you want to break up your outline, go for the mesh face mask. Works better and no clean-up!
Well we award style points for the best Camo down in the Cavan Swamp... but face paint only means that you fancy make up and womens clothes
Seriously... I think Camo is overated when weighed against good stalking skills.
But in our wood of the necks you better have some type of concealment or your not going to be very successful. The deer in S. Ont are pressured hard and are very educated :wink:

I'm resting between jobs as actors say so I can use the gear I bought last year but didnt get to use as i was too busy. About once every 2 or 3 years I get a month between contracts so I can get some shooting done. This time I have saved enough to get by on but not enough to buy new gear so I was stocking up last winter. When you visit the website 3XL is probably closer to your 2XL. trust me I have bought on both sides of the pond!
I like the drab loden colours as they blend well enough apart from autumnal grasses. I have arepro denison when I need to shoot pigeon over ripe ripe corn or stubble. Here the woodpigeons are a pest so we can shoot all year! I once took 6 months of and shot every other day. When my severance ran out and I had to get a job to buy more cartridges then I knew the fun was over! I get about 1000 12 bore 1 ounce No.6 for £80 to £100. Not a bad life!
As for the Nomad gear one of the pro stalkers who I pay uses the long hooded top and swears by it! He says it doesnt leak and is long enough to keep his bum dry and leave enough room still to raise his gun for high angle shots! I'm sure as a pro he gets a trade discount as I know who pays his mortgage and they pay pretty low!
