I am the first guy to say, you eed to reload for a gun to squeeze the most accuracy from the rig.

But a question and it means nothing however, has anyone ever tried American Eagle bulk 223 in the percision rig?

Just a questions, and if you didi what did you see,

I understand match ammo and loading match ammo, but just currious how it shot if you tried it

I don't know which brand it was but I fired 2 rounds of 45gr bulk at a 100 yard target through a 1/7 twist, throated for 90gr Berger vlds. The target came out unscathed. :D

I tried this just because, and I suspect the bullet was in 100 pieces before it went 80 yards.

It is possible that El-cheapo blasting ammo could shoot 1MOA for you from a good rifle. It's also completely possible that it will shoot 5MOA, and you'd have no cause for complaint (the ammo would be living up to its commitment). Pretty much random luck of the draw. And the next batch of the same brand and type of blasting ammo, can be completely different (accuracy wise) - again, fair game and no cause for complaint.

i'd be very curious to see a bullet disintegrating due to over stabilization in slow motion.

that would be pretty damn neat actually.

try several brands, then find one that shoots good one day. Then try it again. the only way you are going to be able to tell isn't on the Internet.

As for my experience with American eagle... lets just say my semi auto black rifle shows vast improvement from AE tac to win white box.
I'm going to vote a 80% no on this.

FWIW, I have a minimally modded Remy 700 HB in an AICS 2.0 - this combo with handloads of 69g SMK over 25.3 Varget is 5 inside a dime. As an experiment I have run S+B 55g, AE 55g and AE 62g factory ammo through it and the combo produces about 3 MOA.

I am not shooting a precision rig, just a Stvns 200 in a Boyds stock, bedded, blah blah... Reloads, 60nosler 25.5 varget 2.30length gives me 1/2 to 3/4 groups... WW white box 45gr shoot 5" at 100yds.... AE 55gr shoot 1.5"..... there seems to be no predictability as to what may work in your gun, and as mentioned, the answer will not be found on here - just at the range!

Yep it will depend on the rifle, when doing some cronographing for a friends 223 we found some cheaper ammo grouped as good or better than more expensive ammo. My 204 Rem sps shot a 4" pattern with factory Hornady ammo 3/4" with good reloads.
