Factory chambered .35 Whelen

Remington does. Have a look for the 7600 pump, 7400 semi auto and the 700 bolt action. All have been or currently are being chambered in 35 Whelan.

Just buy a 35 Whelen something.....You won't be disappointed, they are a awesome caliber. I have 2 of them, one is a Rem 7600 carbine, the other is a Ruger Hawkeye SS. Flattened a big doe this year with the 7600 and 250gr bullets, went 5yds and that was it.

I think Ruger is chambering for 358Win as well. It's a very usefull cartridge as well. There may be one in the EE.

Comparing it to the Whelen is like comparing the 308 to the 30/06.

Remington is chambering the 700 CDL & the 750 in Whelen. Although Ruger doesn't show it on their website they do chamber the 77 Hawkeye in Whelen in both blued/wood and stainless/synthetic versions. I got mine through Clay at Prophet River (who also has a smoking deal on 750s in Whelen). Super to deal with and nary a problem.

Hey Savagefan,
I was in The Shooting Edge last week. They have a 35 Whelen in a 700 BDL on the used rack. I don't remember if the price on it was $700 or $800, but if you're really wanting one, there you go.

Actually, it's a CDL, with the classic straight comb stock instead of the Monte Carlo stock of the BDL. It's been sitting there for a while.

Interesting point Woodbeef, thanx. I'm going back to a bigger bullet, silly me sold my 375 H&H and am now hunting with a 7mm-08. I find this round inadequate for large deer in tangly terrain, I don't like blood trailing and dragging. Every shot with the 375 was a bang-flop. I thought the H&H was overkill so am looking at .338 WM or lesser (not much though). Nice to see that CZ chambers the 9.3.

I think I may be in the market for a Ruger bolt action rifle chambered in .358 Winchester myself... They were listed on the Ruger site not long ago but don't seem to be now. :)

My plans were already set in motion when a 375HH popped up that I couldn't resist. My unfired 700 CDL 35 Whelen is now in the EE.
