Factory crimp die question

Are Lee factory crimp dies specific to cartridge or to caliber? I am looking to get one for 220 Swift, but I can see availability being a problem in Manitoba, as neither SIR or Wholesale Sports list on on their websites. So I am wondering if I can use a 223 Rem. die instead and adjust it accordingly.

Not a direct answer to your question, however I was running into a similar problem finding certain Lee parts with dealers in my area. I finally ordered directly from Lee's website and everything arrived in a week and a half.

crimp dies are cartridge specific.

order directly from lee if you can't get what you want locally, give them a call.

I'm not positive but i don't think it will hit the shoulder on you 220 swift before crimping. Did you ask if they stock the lee pacesetter dies as the factory crimp die is included.

Deal direct with Lee, or ask Higginsons should be no problem.

Thanks to all for your answers, but I just checked WSS website again and I found what I was looking for. Don't know how I missed it before. I guess now it's a matter of finding out if they actually have one in stock in Winnipeg.
