Factory recall on Ruger SR9

From Ruger:

"We will install the new trigger group in your SR9 and return it to you FREE of charge. When we do, we also will send you a FREE extra magazine as a "thank you" for your patience and cooperation. "

Kinda cool~
If anyone has one... make sure you get the mag.

The problem is with pistols manufactured between October 2007 and April 2008. Probably not many Canadians affected.

I don't have one but I was just curious as to how Canadian customers will send their guns back to the U.S. I assume it will have to go back to the dealer and then through the distributers chain to the U.S. Seems like that process is going to take a lot longer than a week. Has anyone had experience with something like this?

When there was a recall on the Ruger P85, Ruger had me send it to a gunsmith in Montreal for repair. The magazine that was shipped back with the P85 as a gift was not a Ruger mag though but some aftermarket one (probably a Mecgar).
