I'm not 100% sure, but my spidey senses are telling me you wouldn't have to. Granted if you shot rapidly for a long time, it'd probably heat up enough to start doing something.
 
Well, while shipping has its hands full getting dozens of Glocks on their way out the door every day, we here in the office got some more good Glock news! A shop canceled their order, making a handful of Glock 17L pistols available to us from the distributor. If you missed out on the Glock 17Ls or are looking to add a second to the collection for modding or backup competition gun purposes, we have a handful or so of these pistols available, landing late this week. As with the rest of the run, these longslides are limited run items, and generally rarer than hen's teeth -- I got mine to cross another gun off the bucket list! If you're into these, don't expect more of these to be around later on... the last time Glock did a run of these elusive guns was several years ago at the dawn of the 2000s.

Just picked mine up from the post office, nice gun. The thread protector is a joke,just a plastic ring that presses on the threads. Need to find a real one.Very happy with the overall Pkg. for the price.

Have to be careful as they are M13.5 x1LH same as Sig & HK. Somebody should bring a bunch of these into Canada I'm sure a few people would buy them ;)
