Factory tour of International Barrels

True bore alignment is independent of the OD straightness of the barrel. Aluminum ring around the barrel are typically to keep from marking them when you have an improper set up and only use hard jaws. Saves from marking the barrel up.

As an indicator of the standards the military team shooters seek. Not amazing stuff compared to more unlimited platforms out there but shows what standard the guns are expected to achieve with all the variables introduced by positional shooting.

I started a thread in Gunsmithing titled Barrel Fitting - Consolidation. This thread is about International Barrels. I'll relocate the posts describing how to do barrel work.
The barrel fitting thread can be stickied, as a resource for how to do things.
