Fair price for 1901 winchester lever action 10 gauge

I can get 1st dibs on a nice 1901 lever action winchester. It's rear stock is a bubba-made and the tangs at the wrist are bent; Bubba.
But repairs can be made and a new rear stock procurred. Question is ...what's a fair price? Elderly relative owns it so I've got to make a fair offer.
Not gun show fair, real life fair.
Action wise it's great, the front stock is nice

Bubba butt, bubba tang, $700, other wise $800-$1100, at least that's what I 've seen them listed for.

I paid $750 for one a while back. More pitting but much nicer wood. With a bubba'd buttstock I'd say its a $500 gun tops.
