Am thinking of selling my HP.

I'm the original owner, put less than 100 rds through it.

Production was approx 1982. Assembled in Belgium.

Glossy blue finish, adjustable rear sights, wood grips

It's immaculate...exept for one scratch inflicted during disassembly from the 'hold open' lever when the safety popped off.

Would come with the original mag blocked to 10 rds, a Browning 10 rd mag, and an aftermarket mag, also 10 rds.

What would be a fair price?

...and yes, I should take pics, but I can't at the moment!

I also have a 82 sport model that I bought here on EE for 625 about a year ago.

The prices on Belgium brownings has really climbed lately however, and they are becoming harder to find,so I would guess for your condition browning, about 750-800

You won't easily find a nice old HP like this again though!

$400-$700
I would start at the $700 and drop $100 per week until sold
here is mine , 1973, Paid $400 with mint original grip (I dont like them, too think for my baby hands) original Bhp leather pouch and one mag. rounds count unknown , but I would say 5000-10 000 maybe more Who knows ?

No, you should ask for 350.00 more than you paid for it because its a rare handgun, no longer manufacturered (its not 1982 anymore) and some shmuck will buy it from you. Be sure to say price is firm + shipping. And don't forget to at at least 10.00 more than actual shipping costs.

Seriously, 450-500.00 for a regular used browning HP is not unreasonable.
But, supply & demand being what it is in Canada, who knows.

Tex If I would have listen to a guy like you When I sold my Armscor M1600. I would have lost $250 Everybody told me $200-250 on EE all the time. I put it for $525 and got a offer of $450 within 48h and sold it.
I bent nobody arm's to get $250 then CGN estimate.

Ask more to get less always worked for me
It will sell when the time or price or both is right
