Fair price for an Smith & Wesson M & P?

I bought a M&P .40 today!!!!....I bought it and 500 rounds Winchester Winclean ammo...5 boxes of 165 gr and 5 boxes of 180 gr.....I paid $850 total...I thought that price was good.....I also got an "el cheapo" tactical laser to put on the rail....more to play with then shoot with...but I will try it out for sure!!!....I put 200 rounds through it...no problems at all so far....I really love it so far and I just cant put it down!!...
