Fair price for Trailboss?

I bought three 9 ounce sealed containers of it from from a sporting goods store in Edmonton 18 months ago and paid just under $300 for them.

Well I'd be happy to sell him my Trailboss for what I paid in 2020, as long as he let's me buy the gold coins at the price he paid in 2020.

Would find out how much of a friend he thinks I am. 😉
I hear ya, but that's conflating two issues IMHO...

Letting a buddy have a bit of powder at the price you paid, isn't the same as gold/silver which folks generally buy as long term investments...

When Varget was essentially unobtainium I ended up with most of a pound of it. My buddy used it for his rifles and I just gave it to him, was worth $80-100 at the time, or more based on what the CGN Exchange had it listed for but he is a buddy, he could use it, I could not so I just gave it to him.

He has more than done the same for me with other things, that is what buddies are for.

Thanks for the feedback. I reckon what I'll propose is that he can pick me up a couple of cans regular rifle powder (H335, BLC2 or such, see what I am low on) and we can swap.

I got these pre 2021(ish) and the price sticker is $49.99, but I know it's worth more than that, just wasn't sure what inflation and scarcity made a fair value.
Swapping for a can you will use between friends is probably your best bet. At least that's what I would do for someone.

Did I miss the part where the guy is now considered a friend, rather than simply a co-worker? Did I also miss the update in the life rules manual, that if you work with someone and don't hate them, they're entitled to friend/family/buddy deals?:ROFLMAO:

Some co-workers are friends, some are great friends, some you would never give a deal to if it was the last thing you did.

Seeing as the guy brought up the cost he considers the guy a buddy or friend, if he was just a guy then these bottles would be at full current value, if even being offered for sale at all.

I see we missed "What is a rhetorical question?" day somewhere along the line.
