I've been approached to purchase a Ruger 22 cal pistol. It is reported to be in good condition and it is a 6" tapered barrel. I was told that the estate recieved notice that they has 30 days to dispose of it or it would be picked up by the Police. This is in Manitoba.
Any suggestions regarding a fair price are appreciated.

Thanks!

$300 is probably a fair price. Offering only a hundred would look chintzy. Remember a fair price hurts both parties equally.

Considering a new one is worth $390.....

I'd say between $250 and $300 would be reasonable if I knew the person selling it, and he had a good reputation for taking care of his 'stuff'.

If I was buying it off the EE, I'd look to pay around the $250 mark. (plus shipping).

Bull Barrel, 22/45, etc, would all change the price point a bit.

Cheers!
