I have a friend that is looking to trade me one of my pistols for one of his.

Just curious if you think it is a fair trade. I think it is a fair trade for both of us but I am curious what you all think:

Beretta Model 96 Brig Inox - Excellent

trade for:

Colt Series 70 - 1911 - Stainless - Excellent

What do you think?

Are you getting the Colt or trading it away? If it's the former, go for it. A series 70 in "excellent" shape is worth more than the Beretta.

I agree with capp325. Mind you, that Beratta is a fine firearm but, a stainless series 70 in excellent shape would be sweat to own also.

This trade is between friends and friends do not screw friends. If you are giving up a Series 70 Colt you want something above an even trade. Aside from that, I prefer 1911s and I would not be interested in the trade. Regards, Richard :D

Personally, I think the guy getting the Colt is getting the better deal. But, If you are both happy, then I would also go for it.

Enjoy, both are fine pistols.
