FAIR vs Sabatti combos

I can't answer your question as I have no real experience with Sabatti but FAIR makes a good product and I wouldn't hesitate to get one.
Word is sabatti doubles have come along way in regulation which has me curious if the billing would be just as well regulated. The FAIR does appear to have nicer wood and lines.

It can be hard to buy the gun and not the brand when you can’t actually try the gun out, I mean handle the two guns, I know for me up here everything is online orders so you need to ask as many questions as you can and hopefully get honest replies from people that actually played with both.
My biggest concern is regulation. It wouldnt get much use at all but id like a slug to be within 2" of the rifle barrel impact at 50 yards. It would be for long walks for grouse in areas where I may run into a bear or wolf or moose depending what tags I have in my pocket. I've had to watch several nice wolves and a bear walk away because I only had a sxs shotgun with me. A combo would give me more distance while still letting me flush grouse and ducks. Slugs when I see a big game animal if a second shot would be needed

I wish i had a combo more than once on moose hunts. give iron cat a pm he and his buddies use Fair guns on thier hunts they seem to like them. He most likely will chime in he around most times.
As Italian law ,FAIR supplies a 50 meter test target with their guns for regulation of their rifle barrels, I am not sure with the combination guns however.
I do know that any combination gun I have ever shot ( Brno, CZ, Valmet and FAIR) the regulation at 50 yards with the slugs and irons was very acceptable.

The only Savage I tried to fire a slug through was a Valmet made 24 in 20/222 and it was not too bad at all, but I never really considered it as a slug barrel.
