Fake EOTECH Exps3 on the EE

Anyone here see the fake EXPS3 selling as real on the EE? Its now SPF! Looks like someone got hosed. I messaged the seller to let him know (in case he didn't) but he never returned my PM......buyer beware I guess.

Hopefully he does the right thing and tells the buyer that he is not getting the genuine item, but a replica.

Some people may not even know if they have a fake or not. Hopefully if it isn't the real deal he lets the buyer know now that you mentioned it to him.

I hope so. I messaged him before his add said SPF and he never responded. His add doesnt say anything about a fake but he does compare his 400$ price to "some guy in a shop" selling them for 700$. That's just low. And he is NOT a new CGN member either. Plus he has a crazy high trader rating. Just shows how low some people can go....

The box yes and the fact that the mount is an ADM style which the Exps eotech does not use

An honest mistake can be corrected and if not then it's just misleading someone, hopefully things are made right if a mistake was made.

I personally have both a real Eotech, and a fake one.

The real one is on my .223 AR-15. The fake one is on a tactical .22LR plinker.

I can tell you this. Holding both in my hands; They look completely identical.
But there are two giveaways that one is a fake.

One is that the fake has a bit of dark tint in the glass. The real Eotech glass is a absolutely clear.
The other is that the fake can be switched from a red display to a green display. Real Eotechs only display in red.

Yes definetely fake. Exps controls are on the left side not the back and xps models are not raised as high.

If it's fake it should cost $40 not $400.
If I bought it for $400 thinking it was just a good deal I would be super pissed and would definitely be leaving negative feedback.
