fake game cams

any one make any up to try and deter trespassers and hunt camp break ins???...

thinking of getting a few outdated cameras from the thrift store ,and weld them in a steel case..and lag bolt them to some trees,with bolts that cant be unscrewed..
any try this?

those would not look and not fit in.as its in a off road area ..they would look way out place in the bush

You wouldn't even need cams...... just weld up some appropriately sized boxes (1/4 plate or thicker ) and put a "window" of 3/8" smoked
lexan in it.

I think its a good idea to deter kids, but someone who really wants to get in will just spray paint over the camera(real or fake) and then break in.

even if they paint them or try to smash them up...im hoping it will put a bit of a deterrent in there endless barrages of breaking in and destroying stuff...
kind of put the idea in there heads that a few cameras around they found...but what about the ones they could not find

Even better is to have several obvious ones that are fake, and a well-concealed one that is real. That way, if they do still break in, you might have a better shot at identifying the creeps.

Trespassers seem to be a common problem. I had two tree stands and a game cam stolen last year. I have some old security cameras I will be putting up to deter these degenerates. Mine will be high up around the farm house. not much I can do about the bush. I plan to put up signs but putting up a fence in the bush is not realistic.

It just angers me that I can not even leave anything in the bush on the property that I own.

God help anyone I catch there!

Thankfully not everyone that finds a setup is there to steal it. I have pictures of a couple guys who came upon my bear hunting setup. They took a quick look and took off.

i work in a steel plant........so the thieves will need special tools to try and move the fake cams......
the cams are just a deterrent....well thats what im hoping
