FAKE LaRue Products

Wow~

Read all posts... I agree to a point about it being buyer-beware. However, the people who bought the "fake" Larue products paid "real-Larue" prices (hell, maybe more?); the assumption was that the items were genuine.
That my friends is where the crime has as occurred; I'd bet money the seller made an absolute killing on those items.

If someone sold me a Rolex watch, told me it was real and I paid real-rolex pricing, then it turned out to be fake, well, that's called a scam and I'd get the police involved quick!
Since the Larue-seller is a dealer, there is no reason to assume these items were stolen.

Please name X8

P.S. None of these items are illegal in Canada, so, the police CAN be brought in; I don't agree with the drug analogy.
If the seller is a reputable dealer (i.e. not just some dude on the EE calling himself a dealer) then I agree, it's natural to assume that things are above board.

Although im at work and cant look directly at the eotech mount but after looking at the pictures here http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=507122 I know from memory mine closer resembles the actual larue mount. Mine has the USA and correct larue markings on the bottom of the rail, but are all milspec rails supposed to be the same distance apart (within whatever tolerances are allowed) and therefore the part of the mount that goes in between the rails should be relatively tight on all rails with the adjustable quick release lever to take up any slack from the rails being wider or skinnier in the sideways direction? The only way to get my rail to be tight with no front to back movement is to tighten the hex key screw on the front of the mount inwards until it locks up securely, the only problem with that is that the mount will not come off the gun until that hex screw is backed out- thus removing the benefit of having a "quick release" mount. I buy and sell alot and I dont want the next guy to think hes getting something he isnt if this isnt real.

I don't doubt that I am a bit naive in the ways of gun import laws but if I can't trust I sponser on the GCN then who can I buy from?

I have confirmed with AngryEyebow that the seller is NOT a CGN dealer.

We will not tolerate selling fake stuff among CGN dealers - any dealers get caught doing this kind of stuff here at CGN will be ejected and black listed.

Any knock-offs that are sold by CGN dealers are not allowed to be advertised them as knock-offs of the actual "brand". They are only allowed to show pictures and advertised as generic items. That is our official dealer policy.

If I am correct in my assumption,

He may not be a dealer but he was given access and allowed to sell through a reputable sponsors website
which is just about as bad as them doing it in my opinion.

OK then, who's the dealer putting members in contact with this seller? Could they be in cahoots since dealers here wouldn't dare pass fakes for the real macoy??

I came into contact with this individual through a dealer. I also hate everything airsoft!

OK OK before you all scream for blood and the CGN "lawers" get too crazy, the seller has agreed to refund my money and claims he was not aware it was a replica.

If you think you bought a fake compare your rail with my pics and PM me OR better yet, contact the person who sold it to you. The dealer who "hosted" the ad for the seller has also been working with me to sort this out.

Yup, it's always wise to accommodate a disgruntled buyer's demands. Especially around here. Usually followed by a full refund so they don't get outed.

I still would like to know the dealer please.

I am hesitant to name the dealer who hosted the ad, simply because he has always been on the level and never screwed me before. He is also fully cooperative in assisting me in resolving this issue. Thus far I don't believe he deserves to have his reputation damaged because of an outside source.

If you disagree, PM me.

Apparently the products that first came from the seller, were the real deal. When exactly they turned into fakes is a mystery.
