Fake Leupold Scopes.

You can buy any junk you want. You cannot advertise your counterfeit product, provide links to sources which sell such products, endorse or encourage others to buy counterfeit.

50.01.3:
(3) Every person commits an offence who sells or advertises services in association with a trade-mark, if that sale or advertisement is contrary to section 19 or 20 and the person knows that

(a) the trade-mark is identical to, or cannot be distinguished in its essential aspects from, a registered trade-mark registered for such services; and

(b) the owner of the registered trade-mark has not consented to the sale or advertisement in association with the trade-mark.

I understand the moral compass is finicky mechanism, but there is a law of the land to help you out with that.

Advertise:

- to make the public aware of something (such as a product) that is being sold

- to make a public announcement (in a newspaper, on the Internet, etc.) about something that is wanted or available

- to cause people to notice (something)

WOW!!!
Some of you are passionate about optics.

Some are even more passionate about the legalities of selling optics!

I'll be surprised ( and pretty choked ) if my fake one which cost under $100 performs better than my real ones which cost somewhere around fifteen bills :)

I can guarantee you the real Leupold will outperform the counterfeit in every measurable way. Also, don't be tricked by looking through the cheap one at noon on a sunny day and thinking it's as clear as the genuine scope. To properly test things like light transmission and clarity, you need to be out at dawn on a rainy day. This is where you can really see the difference between Chinese glass with maybe 85% light transmission, and the glass in high end Leupold scopes which can give up to 98% light transmission. You also can see the difference shooting on a warm day at 500 or 600 yards, and in this case, the heat wave distortions make the cheaper scopes almost completely unusable, especially at higher magnifications. The other point to consider is that for the same price, you can get a basic but acceptable quality scope from companies that don't rip off brand names, such as Hawke.

High end scopes don't even get 85% light transmission.

When they say 98% they are talking about 1 lens.

As for optics, well I've looked through a demo Zeiss scope at Al Flaherty's and it was pretty good. I believe it was a 3-9x40 scope. I'd say the optics of this clone is not up to par.

To be clear that demo scope is a Zeiss Terra series scope, their entry level, so if it's better than the knock off of the Leupold Mark 4 that either doesn't say much for your copy, or says a lot for the demo model
