Jack2000... I think you have some explaining to do.
Another one of your listings has fake markings, this time they are not Mexican.
The add in question:
"German Capture WW1 M91 Mosin with Early Stock Type and German Cartouches 1899 Tula 7.62x54R"
What is wrong? The Imperial German "Deutsches Reichs" marking is fake. It is a popular euro eBay copy, and was poorly struck too.
I have originals in the reference collection, and detailed careful analysis of photos side by side has exposed the one on your listing as fraudulent.
Again, it is unfortunate that I cannot elaborate further on the issues with the stamp itself (much like the numismatics collecting world keeps its secrets) as unfortunately that info just gets used by fakers to improve their "product."
If you are faking these markings in order to make a small monetary gain, or liquidate your items faster, STOP.
If you are simply a victim of circumstance, and are acquiring these guns from a source in particular, STOP.
If you have nothing to do with any of this, you need to better monitor what comes in. This makes you look bad, especially when you have so many items with fake markings for sale.
This type of thing contributes to the deterioration of collecting. In a world where everything becomes questionable, nobody wants to collect anymore.

I am of the opinion the above marking is
fake. As discussed earlier.
I have referenced originals in the collection, reference sources, an original schematic of DR, and consulted with other Imperial German collectors.
It also has a glaringly obvious flaw to those who know.
