Fake suppresor made

Got my fake can made today and it is a beauty just need to put some setting screws in and its good to go. Test fired it tonight with it on and some tape on the barrel to hold it in place and it cleared the smaller hole no problem.Here are some pics.

almost done now just have to get 2 setting screws and its all done and ready rock out got to love going to school with the manufacturing class right next door to my welding class :D
 
no its set screws and i did that cuz i did not want to spend more then 2 bucks on this little project.Have it painted black to match the other black parts of the gun post a new pic in a bit when it drys :p
 
Aluminum is a son of a beach to paint. If you care and/or just want to paint it once give it a shot of aluminum primer first for best results.
 
if its just an empty can, wont it alter the sound of the rifle? like, with a tinny echo or something?
Am i wrong, in that a true suppressor would be essentially the same thing, but filled with stuff to absorb and cool expanding gasses safely.. like steelwool etc... so, if that thing is getting filled with rapidly expanding gasses from the muzzle, will it not screw up something or make a weird noise?
 
You do know that what you have there is called a MONOLITHIC SUPRESSOR and in Canada is 100% ILLEGAL!!!
If it quietens the sound even 1db its not fake its real.
You should have checked the regulations. That lil puppy will earn you a lifetime weapons ban! And even if its not on a gun the supressor itself is illegal. And even if the can is flush with the muzzle if It can be pulled forward and held inplace with duct tape say than it can be a supressor and will get you in ####! Get rid of the pics and destroy the thing before you are seen by one of the many law enforcement officers on CGN.

A monolithic suppressor is made up of multiple pieces (mainly inside casing, outside casing and baffles)
These "fake" suppressors are a one piece solid "tube" design and have been for sale in Canada for years.
Stop spreading your paranoia and take a chill pill. ovrec
