I picked up a assie fn 30 years ago and won a few bcra events back 25 years ago in chilliewak. Anyone else online with me at that ol base.

I was out there a little earlier then you in Chilibush. I did my trades 5 in 1975 and my EOD in '77. So sad they closed it.

I was 2 IC of the Base Ammo section from 1986 to 1990 and shot my Aussie L1A1 with the BCRA up at Volkes and the 600 yd ranges just off the base. It was a great posting for a shooter. The Major(later Maj Gen)that commanded 1 CER was a big sponser of the shooting sports on the base. By the way Thumperhead, the EOD/IED (HC) was done in Borden in those days.
