FAL in the North: The Canadian C1A1

IVI ammo hit and miss on accuracy. I hated the 20 rd boxes, so much waste. We had to unpack and put on link................... shoot tons of link...

I have a small stash left. 1973-1977 only the '77 are on clips.

I purchased one of the C1A1 rifles when they were offered for sale If I recall mine had the serial number 8L3865 They supposedly were to have the OPP stamp X'd out but mine was still ledgeable. I shot mine at the Cedar Springs rifle range and owned it up until they were changed from restricted to Prohibited, Although grandfathered to me, I was able to sell it to another collector who was able to purchase since he had a museum, in his basement. I believe he still has the rifle, which I am sure is Grandfathered to him. Heh John T. Tom Tweney here

For sure.

Lugged one around for many a year; didn't like them then, and time hasn't improved my opinion of them.

Sacrilege. More than 50 years on and I still have a love affair with the FN. Never thought is was heavy. Sadly, all I have is a dewat hanging on my wall.
