Falcon 4.5/18 reveiw

Prosper, you've obviously haven't seen the NP20 reticle. It uses mils as well, but they're marked as hash lines, every .5 mils I believe. I too, am a firm believer in mils, just not the standard 5 mil dots, there are much better reticles out there.

Which is exactly why I'm waiting for the 4-14 front focal plane model to come out. You can range at any magnification without issues.

I've got one order so I'm going to reserve judgement until I actually get to use it first. I'm less than enthusiastic about a 56mm objective bell, especially on a low-mid range power scope.

it's 56mm. I doubt low rings are appropriate. It depends on the manufacturer of the rings and the base, as well as the contour of the barrel. You might be able to just squeak by with medium rings, maybe not. Low seems totally out of the question

I really like my Falcon Merlin, 4-14x42. It has the MP-20 reticle and c/w sunshades as well as a large removeable side paralax adjustment wheel.
It is sharp and clear at low light levels and the reticles stay in focus.
CyberK is good to deal with and carries a good product. It was and still is well worth the money. The adjustments are all positive and repeatable as well as consistant, no surprises. bearhunter

FYI, TPS (lows) are about as high as every other manufacturer's (medium) rings. Might take some trial and error to get it right but the TPS (lows) are a good starting point.

The more I think of this, the more I wish I hadn't ordered this scope. It's going to look ridiculous.

I had the 56mm on my LTR with TPS low rings no problem. Not sure about other manyfacturers though.

Any idea how much room to spare between the barrel & objective bell? Enough to slip on some Butler Creek caps, maybe? I take it you were using a TPS or EGW base?

i am waiting for the 4.5-14ffp to come out hopefully by then i will have a proper base and rings either on its way or ready to install.
cyberk does EGW make a tapered base for savage LA round top, if so can you get them in on a pre pay at time of order basis?

4-14x44FFP will be available by the middle of December (hopefully on time for christmas). Here is a review done by sniper central (lucky guys got a crack at one of the demos).

I am thrilled about this scope, it is much nicer than I thought it was going to be for the money. I have seen quite a few mid-range scope with so-so at best glass but the Menace has beautiful glass across the entire seeing.
Please excuse the poor photography but holding a rile and a camera at the correct relief is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.

I can't wait to range test this. The reviews have been stellar for these scopes for their price range.

I know it isn't a Night Force but I got a great scope and I can afford dinner tonight! :D

Im enjoying mine :)

I had a set of tps rings on them, but I liked the scope so much I switched to leupold qrw rings so that I could easily move the scope back and froth between my 22-250 and 300wm :)
