Falcon 5.5-25x56

For the money, they are fantastic. I have owned FOUR of them at ONE time. I loved every one of them. I pared down my collection so that I only needed ONE great optic and finally was able to save for a Leupold Mark4 LR/T M1 6.5 x 20 x 50mm TMR.

I have nothing but fond memories of my Falcon Menace scopes while lighting up dozens of groundhogs through that 56mm objective. :D Pure joy!

Yes, they pass the "box" test for repeatability. I love the side focus knob also!

Once you shoot extensively with target knobs/ tactical knobs, it's difficult to go back to a 'regular' knobless hunting scope.

So now after saving up more money, my hunting .22-250 / .308 switch barrel M700 will be wearing a Leupold LR/T 4.5 x 14 x 40mm with target turrets...

Go for the Falcon line, you will never regret it. Hey, for the money it's great. It ain't no Mark4, but I would not hesitate to bring it to the NSCC (National Sniper matches) in Ottawa! :)

Cheers,
Barney

I have one also, little bit cloudy around the edges and the glass isn't as good as the my previous Bushnell elite 6-24 AO, but at least this one has a side focus, no more stretching to adjust the focus. I like it, I also like how much it cost. My #### will probably fall off, since my scope doesn't cost as much or more than the rifle it sits on but it suits my needs.

I, too, have one. Got it largely based on Hungry's recommendations. Yes, the side focus is a wonderful thing. I keep reaching for it on my other long range scope and can't find it! I agree the repeatability is good. I carefully checked when I got mine and I have no issues with cloudiness or distortion around the edges. I'm really glad I bought it and, as Meanee00 says, it didn't break the bank and suits my needs perfectly. If you got one and decided to upgrade at a future date I don't think you would have trouble selling it. I have seen them in the EE but they don't last long.

I have a 4.5-18x56 IR and it's great. Came as part of a package I got from Frontier a couple years ago. It's never let me down. Holds zero, illuminated reticle is nice and bright and for the price, well, it's worth it...I like it so much that I'll probably be going for the 5.5-25x56 pretty soon to put onto my R700 (I use this one on my M305).

I wonder how these compare to the millett's? They have a similar scope at a similar price, though the millett has a 35mm tube.

Borrowed a 4-14x44 froma friend, put it on my xcr, it passed the repeatability test, the side knob focus, while at first I did not like it, find myself reaching for it more and more on other scopes, only to find its not there.
The eye relief can be a bit finicky, especially at higher powers. I find when the magnification is cranked up, the eye relief shrinks.
great scope for the money though.
