Errmn, how do you turn the illumminated reticle feature on?

Just recieved the scope complete with a single page of extremely vague instructions and nowhere does it mention how to turn it on or off.

Been looking the piece over for about 30 minutes and however it's done, it's not intuitive or obvious. I did manage to find the battery well.

Anybody know how to turn them on?

its on the focus adjustment, i dont have one but from what i recall on the model i've seen you just twist it for different colour and light intensity

play around with the scope, nothing's gonna break as you turn it a bit
EDIT: look at the 5th picture of the first post:

it shows letter G with a green arrow, if you don't have this knob you just got scammed it doesnt have IR

Yes, the scope has that ring with the green G and the red R 180 dgrees apart with green and red tapered arrows between them. The knob moves almost imperceptibly, i.e. 1 degree of roation, and appears to have zero effect on anything.

The scope's brand new as shipped from the retailer.

What am I doing wrong?

Okay, I got ugly with that knob and managed to rotate it. Had to hold it upside down and use my right hand. I'm right handed. It was TIGHT.

Okay, next problem... Rotated the knob through 360 degrees in either direction and only ever saw a red reticle. Never green. Tried it 720 degrees in either direction and nothing different.

Through 180 degrees of sweep I'll see the red reticle in vaying degrees of intensity and 180 degrees of dark nothingness.

Should it not display a green reticle through 180 degrees of knob rotation?

No, the retailer wasn't CyberK.

I was more curious to know if I was doing something wrong. I'm new to this stuff.

A call to the retailer will be in order after Christmas.

Thanks gents.

I don't know a whole lot about it, but thanks for the recommendation! Where'd you buy yours and how much did you pay? Your 10FCP chambered in .308?
