I recently bought a Remington LTR and I'm looking to get a scope to learn how to play with turrets. I'm reading lots of good thing about the Falcon Menace scopes and they seem to have lots of features for their price. I was thinking about a 4-14X44. But I got to admit that I'm a bit leary about the quality vs price. Yes, I know that they are not Nighforce,S&B or Leupold Mark IV. Are they that good?

I recently purchased a 10X42 menance with metric clicks. Although I haven't shot it yet (waiting for 30mm rings...) I am pretty impressed so far. Scope has a lot of desirable features for the price and seems well built. I can't wait to get mine out to the range and see how it performs as far as tracking and returning to zero goes.

I haven't been too impressed by the image quality of the 56mm objective models. Kinda fishbowl-y at the edges at low magnification, and has severe chromatic flaws (orange/purple halos) at the edge of the image, especially at low magnification. These issues are common to even the very most expensive 56mm scopes (physics at work), but are particularly noticeable on the Falcons. The build quality and reticle are fantastic, and they're an excellent value for the money; especially with the 40-44's

Don't buy ONE!

Buy TWO of them, especially for the price. I'm working on my second one right now. Got the 1.5 x 5 x 30mm for CQB and Service Rifle. So has tiriaq! We are all about finding the best value for our finite after tax dollars. :ninja:

i have the 4-14X44 on my sps tactical, and would have to say out of the 2 i had a look at the, other being the 4.5-18X56.the 4-14X44 was a bit better in glass on the out edge.saying this i would still get ANY falcon scope.they have a new model comeing out soon that im hold out for.5-25x56 and 5-25x50 coming in May/June.

I've got a Falcon 4.5-18 X 56 on my LTR. It's excellent (and looks totally cool...)

Maybe one day I'll get a Nightforce, but for a year or two I'll stick with the Menace.
