I'm having a problem with a Falcon Menace 5.5-25x56FFP scope I've purchased.
This weekend, I installed a new 15MOA rail and took the gun out to test fire this morning. After adjusting the up/down and left/right to my satisfaction, I attempted to re-install the adjustment caps. The up/down tightened up fine, the left/right did not.
As you can see in the pictures, the 3 screws on the left/right adjustment cap seem to be hitting just off of the end of the brass piece to the extent that when I attempt to tighten them down, the screws just force the cap to slide off because they aren't biting well enough.
I've so far tried taking all of the adjustment to both the left and right extremes and attempted to re-tighten the cap without any success.
I have an email in with Falcon, but I am not the original purchaser of the scope, nor do I have a recipt = they're going to tell me to get lost.
What would you think if I just took a small amount of JB weld and put a dab on the end of that piece of bass and filed it down so that the screw had more material to tighten down against?
