So, I just happenned to fire up the falcon optics website, and WOW for once it has something on it other then a message about "updates coming soon" (or something along those lines).

2 pictures of differentscopes, and a list of diff models, The first scope, nothing special or new, but the second...

*drum roll*

the "T50" 10-50X60

with a knob that big, I have to wonder if someone at falcon is trying to compensate for something....

The big knob is for short distance fine range finding. Take a look at the scopes used in the UK for air guns.
The knob is actually a focus setting. Dial the big wheel until the target is in fine focus and then read the range off the scale on the knob.

You are exactly right on that one, the knob is optional.

We didn't have much luck with the fixed powered T35 when it came out, but we are going to get our hands on one of these to see how they are since they are variable. Should have feedback by mid-summer.

Do you have any insider info for us? specs, pricing?

weren't these built to be used with air guns?

They were built to cater to the air gun field target crowd, but they are still built to the normal Falcon specs. Pricing will likely be in the $700+ range. We are going to get one to test when they are available and then judge the interest before we bring any in. Not sure on the specs yet. I will post them as soon as I can get them.

holy baby jeebus, imagine needing 50x magnification for shooting at 50 yards:eek:

someone needs to post a picture of one of these mounted to a lever action 30-30:)

I've bought a couple of Falcon "Menace" scopes from Allen Gunworks. I like both of them a lot. One is on a Tikka T3, 6.5x55, that I hunt coyotes with and the other is on a Tikka T3, 25-06. They both perform perfectly. They are sharp and clear and have great depth of field. The paralax is excellent right out to 450m. They operate flawlessly under all weather conditions as well. In the rain, -40C to +40C, not a hiccup. Mind you at +40C, mirage is a factor.
