The regs say "Turkey hunting during the spring season is restricted to 1/2 hour before sunrise to 7:00 p.m." but it doesn't say anything for fall hunting.
Are there no time restrictions or it's the same?

Thanks

I don't know where you are, but here in the eastern Ontario area you're going to be in quite a bit of trouble if you try to hunt until 7:00 pm.

If you are in Ontario, the regulations regarding hunting wild turkeys in the fall state the permitted hunting times are 30 minutes prior to local sunrise time until 30 minutes after local sunset time.

Thanks a lot. That's what I assumed it was but I didn't see that in the regs book. It doesn't say anything about fall hours on page 82 or 83, just spring hours.

They don't define actual times anymore. Half hour before and half hour after is always going to be half hour before and half hour after. Doesn't change from spring to fall seasons

As mark222 said - for spring turkey hunting the legal time ends at 7pm regardless of where in Ontario you are hunting.

Nope, bow hunters just get the whole month of October. Shotgunners still only get the two weeks.

I hadn't realized that they kept a shotgun season. Until i just read it. I dont hunt turkeys in the fall anymore. I thought i had read it had gone bow only. Good to know i can still shotgun them if i wanted

Yup... or the scenario I would always run into...
Bow hunting deer, and turkeys are coming down from roost 5ft away and just hanging out.
Shotgun hunting turkey, and the deer are coming over to see if I packed any snacks.

Now when I bow hunt, I can take either... which naturally means I see neither.

So it’s legal to be in the bush with a bow and a shotgun? If you have tags for deer and turkey of course.

Cut off time for spring hunt is 7pm. 1/2 hr after sunset for fall.

Hahaha. Thats funny. I don't hunt turkey in the fall...or deer for that matter....but I imagine this to be a very accurate assessment
