Fall Turkey

After watching a large group of turkeys pass through a corner of one of our fields repeatedly at the same approximate time each day, My better half and I set up on the gap in that fence. I didn't call at all and true to form they passed about 20 yds from us and we both connected. Pretty simple hunt without decoys or calling but definitely required a lot of timing patterning the birds. I found this to be a very effective way in the fall to chase turkeys, however be prepared to spend some time watching first.

Outstanding. I took my first turkey ever in the spring, and then lost permission to the hunt the property a week before the season opened. Owner wanted to do some logging. We can get back in there just in time for January Coyote...
