Famae 542 stock

I am wanting to know if it is possible to put a folding stock from a Swiss 550 onto A famae 540? I have looked and not been able to find any information. Has any one been able to swap out the parts

I asked this very question a couple of years ago when I still had a Famae and was told "no" by a couple of forum members. That being said, I have no firsthand experience as I took their word for it and didn't try it.
