Famae SAF-200 or B&T TP9

As an aside, I would take the traditional Famae saf with fixed stock and the optional rail over the 2000 model any day. Again, much better ergonomics and closer to the SAN design.
 
Sold my TP9 and bought a Mini-SAF, then I sold the Mini and I will be buying another TP9. The SAF was awkward, heavy, and the mags were not even close to the TP9 mags. Hindsight is 20/20.
 
I've got both but my famae is the mini. If you want light weight go with the TP9 ( but it feels like your shooting a Lego gun). I would say go with the Famae and don't look back.
 
I don't know about the 2 posted options, but I would definitely add a vote for the TP9! I had a black one, sold it in a fit of stupidity, and then replaced it with a tan one. Not planning on selling it!
 
Man, looks like its all personal preference as one doesn't really stand head and shoulders above the other. tough choice you have there. I considered the same two and then finally gave in to the SAN cqb, little heavier, but a lot more fire power in just a tad bigger package. It was the blowback that kept me from buying. Good system, simple, but not my favourite. does cut down a lot of weight

I am also faced with this same difficult decision. Kinda leaning on that Aimpoint Package Wolverine Has.

This mag thing is kinda scaring me though, I wonder if there's a source for 5.5 pinned mags that drop free.
 
I am personally leaning towards TP9 for these reasons:
Wolverine Supplies has the best warranty return policy.
The aimpoint option looks good to me.
It was used in a resident evil movie.

Whaaat? You're willing to drop $2k plus tax on a firearm and one of the things that motivates you to do so is that it was in a "B"-Rated movie? Seriously?

I'd be proud to own either the SAF or B&T, however, for +$2k I'd want to shoot both before I made a decision. However, finding an example of either would be tough to do where I live. Like others, I'd have to take a leap of faith and just buy one with the hopes I would like it in the end.

Blaxsun, you mentioned you had/have a Hera conversion? Do you still have it? For me, it might be something to look at. For roughly 1/2 the money, I could buy a handgun and one of those neat stock chassis that are available. No, it's not the same as a B&T or SAF but it would be just as fun and the versatility would be a bonus. I see Murdock is bringing in some of the SIG ACP stocks soon. Not sure if the wire stock is my thing. Doesn't really look durable. The KPOS or RONI are front runners for me.
 
I relieved Blaxsun of his Hera awhile back (not sure if he had more than one) and I love it. TP9 is so tempting too, and a mini SAF. Don't tell my wife.

redddogg69 "requisitioned" it off me some time ago. The reason I sold it was simply that I got out of my Glocks. It's a good kit, though. There are several advantages with the TP9: comparable weight, translucent magazines and a reduced overall length with the folding stock. Another plus is that there's less overall maintenance required.

I've pretty much made the decision to go forward with the TP9, so it's just a question of when I'll pull the trigger. Appreciate all the helpful suggestions!
