Good day all, I received my new toy a little while ago and just got a chance to take it out for a trial. I tried 6 different factory loads, and the two best are shown in the link. These were at 20M with rather poor lighting as the sun was going down quick. I'm quite impressed with the little bugger. The only thimg I don't like is the trigger. It feels like a 1/4" of creep before it goes off. I'm going to have to send this somewhere to smooth it up and make it crisp. Corlanes is close by for me, but is there anywhere in this country that isn't afraid to work on something that isn't a hunting rifle, and could help me out? Recommendations? All in all, I like it. I'm going to have to put some optics on it and try it out to 100 m.
 
I just bought one. I'm glad that it shot good. I keep calling the FAC to see if the transfer went through. I love the look of it. What cal is yours? Mine is a 9mm. Let me know if you fined a place to tweak it. Also, do you know where I can get a fixed stock? I gotta have all the goodies for her.
 
Mine is 9mm as well. I'm looking for a fixed stock for mine also. I have not had a bunch of luck finding someone willing to work on the trigger though. I will keep you informed if I do. I have a friend who runs a machine shop, and he wants me to bring it by for him to look at, and he thinks he could whip up just about any kind of rail etc that I might need. I was thinking it might be nice to mount a tactical light on it. I'll let you know how that goes as well.
 
That 1/4" of heavy creep is the first stage. You can get rid of that by taking out the spring and rod that goes into a hole in the back of the lower receiver but the trigger then is too light for my liking.
 
Lousy polymer used in the mags: not slick enough for the magwell and way too thin and brittle for long term reliability. :mad:
 
Who mod'd the uzi mags for you? Any troubles with them? The mag well in mine is sticky as well. The mags don't inspire confidence, I wouldn't mind something in metal.
 
I have not got my FAMAE SAF yet (transaction started May5), but the way you guys are talking about the mag well, I think I want a couple of UZI mags. Do you have any extra Ardent or could you point us in the right direction??
