Famae SAF

I have been told that you can modify Uzi mags quite easily. The stock mags don't impress me much. You looking at purchasing one UncleWalther? I have 2 of them and find them to be a very accurate firearms, only problem is lack of spare parts.

The stock mags are horrible! Very thin and poor polymer that easily cracks. You should have seen a few used mags I bought that have fractures in all sorts of places. Plus the mags don't slide very easily in the magwell.

Yes, people say to sandpaper them but that's not a very good remedy for already thin walled mags.

not for sale anymore. it stoped because tse could not get more simple as that

I am talking about the mags.
Why cant they order some from the factory that makes them?Seems like their is enough interest in the mags.I know i would buy at least 10:)

Call Brugger & Thomet and try to order some mags - I called them and tried to order a picatinny rail - so they had me contact their Canadian distributor - Wolverine supplies. Within 4 weeks, I had the rail. I thought the whole ordeal was pretty decent and efficient.

If the mags were more of the same I wouldn't buy any. There has to be a better mag for these somewhere. I can't believe anyone going into harms way would use any of these mags to depend their life on. This an accurate, dependable firearm whos Achilles Heel is definitely the mags.

I tried the wolverine route with no luck:(

Yes why did they go the cheap on theese.Metal ones would make more sense.

If someone could import some mags from Portugal then everyone would have some spares for these fragile items. The lack of mags and spare parts definitely limits people wanting to own the SAF.

I was checking the website out last Friday as well sigger, it would be nice to find out if we can import some spare parts or even firearms (heaven forbid) from this place. I enjoy my Famae's but I don't shoot them much due to the lack of spares.

Not shooting the Famae is not ejoying it though. Owning the SAF and just having it sit there is the same as it having broken parts and just sitting there.

It's the poor mags that piss me off about the SAF: slow to change since they stick in the magwell and the polymer is prone to cracking. People used to suggest sanding the magwell portion of the mag but that's only going to make the mags weaker. I was going to mod Colt or Uzi mags but never got around to it.
