It's time for all the new surprises for 2014 to start finding their way to the surface here on CGN, so while we continue you look for new and exciting firearms and accessories for Canada, we thought we'd start our posts off today with a nice big one!
The FAMAE SG-542 is really coming to Canada, and soon -- these rifles are due in Spring of 2014, and they are coming in very limited numbers. We're very excited to be involved with these rifles, as they're a proven performer with a great lineage: the FAMAE SG-542 is a .308 battle rifle issued to the Chilean military and special police units, and is produced on licensed Swiss toolsets in Chile with the full cooperation of SIG. These rifles are the "bigger brother" of the SwissArms design, so they feature the same robust long-stroke piston with rotating bolt and upper/lower assemblies that will be familiar to anyone used to the SwissArms rifles.

The models coming in for Spring are as seen above: the black furniture, dark grey/black receiver, and diopter drum sights with adjustable gas system and flash suppressor. They should be shipping with a 5/20 magazine; additional magazines are to be determined but we will keep you all posted!
These are available in limited numbers, so we're accepting preorder requests from interested shooters -- 25% down secures you a rifle on the spring shipment. Subsequent shipment timelines are currently unknown and likely quite a ways off, so we're not sure we can guarantee any further orders after we reach our total.
