Well, it was time to go to the range and no way were my two oldest letting me go without them. This is my middle boy Austin. He was wailing away with the tube feed cooey and having a blast.

This is my oldest boy Keith. He was keeping busy on his birthday before his buddies came over with the bb gun and this is what he found. His first lesson in skinning was fun to watch.

The rest are pics of the day. No major sharp shooters, but they had a hoot exploding pop bottles and watching the shower
. Its cool being a dad when you can do this with your kids. The five year old isnt ready yet but his time is coming.........
I told Keith that he could shoot the .30.30 for his birthday and he was pumped. He took his time and hit his bottles at 100 yds so in time he just might out shoot dad

Continuing the lever action side of life in Mumptias family.
On the left is a Marlin 336 .30.30 topped with a Bushnell Sportview 4 x 38 and on the right is a Browning BLR .308 topped with a Leup 3x9x40 Vari - 1.

The .22 was shooting econo American Eagle, the .30.30 was shooting 150 grain core lokts (I forget what the powder charge was) and the .308 was shooting 165 grain interbonds with 40 grains of IMR 3031.

What a day in the North
